Sonny Bill to miss 2 games with early plea

Roosters superstar Sonny Bill Williams has accepted a two-match NRL ban for a careless high tackle.

Sonny Bill Williams will miss the next two games of the Sydney Roosters' NRL minor premiership push after submitting an early guilty plea over his shoulder charge on Willie Mason.

The superstar back-rower has copped a two-game ban for a careless high tackle on Newcastle forward and former teammate Mason on Sunday and will miss Friday night's match against Penrith and Saturday week's clash with Canberra.

The Roosters are second on the ladder, two points behind neighbouring arch rivals South Sydney, with six rounds to go before the finals series.
