The United Nations childrens' agency has warned that war-torn South Sudan is on the verge of a major humanitarian crisis which could threaten millions of people if the international community does not act.
The world's newest country plunged back into conflict in December with millions of people fleeing and thousands killed as a result.
The UN says South Sudan is facing the threat of a famine, with an acute shortage of food threatening the lives of millions of people.
It says many people are already resorting to eating wild foods such as bulbs and grasses.
The UN has also warned that a recent cholera outbreak across the country looks set to worsen, due to the desperate overcrowding of camps following continued violence.
UNICEF's spokesman based in Nairobi, James Elder told Adeshola Ore children are the most vulnerable from the ongoing crisis.
