South Sydney forward Nathan Brown has been charged with dangerous contact by the NRL match review committee, but can escape a ban.

Brown was on Saturday hit with a grade-one dangerous throw for a tackle on Wests Tigers five-eighth Mitchell Moses during the joint venture's win on Friday night at ANZ Stadium.

Brown can avoid suspension if he takes the early guilty plea, but if he fights the charge and loses he will miss one game.
