Souths players lean on Inglis's experience

South Sydney players say Greg Inglis can remain an influential part of their team as part of the team's coaching staff after his NRL retirement.

South Sydney players say Greg Inglis can still remain an NRL asset for them off the field, with the retiring Rabbitohs great to move into a coaching role.

Souths players on Tuesday tried to move on from the emotion of Inglis's retirement but said they still believed he would be influential in their NRL title bid.

"He's played so much footy and rep footy. He's got so much knowledge of the game. He's play fullback, wing, centre and five-eighth and excelled at every position he has played," five-eighth Cody Walker said.
