Judiciary action over wrestling tackles threatens to undermine South Sydney's NRL premiership charge with back-rower Ben Te'o now facing a minimum four-week suspension.

Te'o was handed a grade two dangerous contact charge on Friday over an apparent chicken wing tackle on Brisbane's Sam Thaiday during title favourite Souths' 42-16 win at ANZ Stadium on Thursday night.

He was one of three Rabbitohs players charged with dangerous contact over suspect tackles in the match.

However, Chris McQueen and Auva'a Kirisome can both escape bans with early guilty pleas to charges of unnecessary pressure to the neck or head (crusher tackles).

Souths prop George Burgess still has one week to serve on a two-match ban for a chicken wing tackle on Manly centre Steve Matai in last week's 23-4 win over the Sea Eagles.
