Brumbies duo Tevita Kuridrani and Henry Speight have staked their claim for a Wallabies recall ahead of the World Cup in September.

Speight has played 19 Tests but the winger was left of the Wallabies fold last year, while outside centre Kuridrani lost his starting spot before getting injured.

The pair were back to their devastating best against the Sunwolves on Sunday and helped the Brumbies top the Australian Super Rugby conference with a 33-0 victory.

Kuridrani set up two tries on return from a knee injury and said he felt like he was working towards his best form in time for the World Cup.

"We had a lot of opportunities today and we took them really well," Kuridrani said.

"Having a week off I was really keen to get back out there with the boys. It was good to get my hands on the footy a bit more.

"I'm pretty happy with my game but still looking to improve over the next few weeks. I'm still working and hoping to hit my best form by the end of the season.

"The (World Cup) is the long-term goal but at the moment I'm just focusing on the next few games and making sure we play finals."

Brumbies coach Dan McKellar backed the dynamic duo to be picked in Australia's World Cup squad.

"I think so, they just need to keep playing good footy, they're both very experienced," McKellar said.

"They're both very good defenders. They defend very well together and that's so important in Test match rugby.

"Henry, if there's a better winger in the world at the breakdown I'd be surprised, he just puts so much pressure on opposition.

"I'm sure the (selectors) will be looking at both them."
