West Australian Liberal MP Luke Simpkins has announced he will put a spill motion against Prime Minister Tony Abbott on Tuesday.
Fellow WA Liberal Don Randall says he will second the motion, with support from Dennis Jenson - also from WA.
Mr Simpkins told party colleagues the decision to knight Prince Philip was the final proof of a disconnection with the people.
