Spirits added to Coca-Cola Amatil's range

CCA to sell more Beam Suntory brands of spirits in Australia, including several Japanese whiskies.

Coca-Cola Amatil has signed a new extended 10 year deal to sell and distribute a greater range of spirits, including several Japanese whiskies.

The new deal extends CCA's current partnership with Beam Suntory by two years to 2025.

The agreement covers the existing spirits portfolio, which includes Jim Beam and Canadian Club, and adds Suntory brands such as Midori and Japanese whiskies Yamazaki, Hakushu and Hibiki.

"This new partnership represents a very exciting portfolio expansion, which gives us an even greater range to offer our customers across the country," CCA's managing director of alcohol and coffee Shane Richardson said.

Australia's spirits and ready-to-drink market is worth $5.5 billion in retail turnover.

CCA said the extended Beam Suntory portfolio would give it a market share of more than 20 per cent.

Shares in CCA rose two cents to $9.54.
