COMMONWEALTH GAMES: It's been a day of drama in Glasgow with an Australian coach sacked and an athlete arrested. Athletics head coach Eric Hollingsworth was suspended after he released a statement attacking Olympic champion Sally Pearson. Meanwhile an unnamed Aussie athlete has been arrested over a fight inside the Commonwealth Games athletes' village.

COMMONWEALTH GAMES: On a positive note Australia has won two medals in the diving. Mathew Mitchel claimed silver in the one metre springboard. Maddison Keeney and Anabelle Smith nabbed synchronised 3m springboard bronze.

AFL: Fremantle will be aiming to bounce back from its shock loss to St Kilda when it takes on Carlton in tonight's AFL clash at Patersons Stadium.

RUGBY LEAGUE: Sydney Rooster Michael Jennings says he expects to be tested by NSW State of Origin centre partner Josh Dugan in his NRL return on Saturday.
