RUGBY LEAGUE: Manly have secured the outright lead at the top of the NRL ladder courtesy of a 21-12 win over St George Illawarra on last night.

TENNIS: Australia's Bernard Tomic climbed from 124 to 70 in the latest ATP rankings published on Monday on the strength of his second career win in Bogota. The 21-year-old defeated defending champion Ivo Karlovic 7-6 (7/5) 3-6 7-6 (7/4) in Sunday's final to add to his victory in the Sydney International in 2014.

SOCCER: Manchester United's France international Patrice Evra has joined Juventus on a two year contract. The move brings to a close the 33-year-old left back's eight-and-a-half year stint at Old Trafford.

CRICKET: India have beaten England by 95 runs to win the second Test at Lord's, taking a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
