SOCCER - Talk of Tim Cahill coming to the A-League is back on the agenda after the veteran Socceroo on Tuesday night announced his surprise axing from Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua - despite signing a contract extension just three months ago.

AFL - The Hawthorn dynasty shows no sign of coming to an end with coach Alastair Clarkson agreeing to a new three-year contract extension that will keep him at the three-time premiers until at least until the end of the 2019 season.
