Springsteen meets Australian wildlife

Bruce Springsteen came face to face with some of Australia's iconic creatures before his Sydney show earlier in February.

Rocker Bruce Springsteen had an intimate meeting with some of Australia's wildlife backstage at his concert in Sydney.

The Born in the USA hitmaker and the E Street Band performed at Sydney's Allphones Arena earlier in February, and the music legend got to meet some of the country's iconic creatures before he took to the stage.

Staff from the Featherdale Wildlife Park, located on the outskirts of Sydney, brought a few animals including a wombat and a diamond python to the venue before the show to meet the Boss.

One picture on the The Daily Telegraph website shows Springsteen cradling a wombat, while others show the singer with a snake wrapped around his neck.
