Tottenham and Arsenal have strengthened their places near the top of the Premier League by dominating foes from Liverpool.
Harry Kane's brace led Tottenham past Liverpool 4-1 to pull level on points with second-placed Manchester United, while Arsenal are up to fifth after winning 5-2 at Everton.
Son Hueng Min and Dele Alli also scored as Tottenham beat the Reds for the first time since 2012 in front of a Premier League record crowd of 80,827 at Wembley Stadium.
"Unbelievable, we wanted to start fast and get the crowd on their feet - that's exactly what we did," Kane told Sky Sports.
"I thought we played really well. Very happy with the performance."
Arsenal came from behind to drop Everton into the relegation zone, putting more heat on Toffees manager Ronald Koeman.
"The position in the table is not the position Everton should be in," Koeman said.
"The expectations are not filling in - that makes the situation difficult."
Tottenham made a quick start with goals from Kane and Son in the opening 12 minutes.
Mohamed Salah pulled on back for Liverpool but Alli struck just before half-time and Kane clinched the win with his league-best eighth goal after the break.
Liverpool have just one league win in six and fell one spot to ninth.
"The whole game, the whole result was all our fault," manager Juergen Klopp said. "Tottenham was good, they needed to be good, but we made it much too easy for them.
"Their desire was bigger than ours."
Nacho Monreal, Mesut Oezil, Alexandre Lacazette, Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sanchez all scored as Arsenal overcame Wayne Rooney's early goal for their first away win.
"It's very difficult to single out any performances as everyone played very well," manager Arsene Wenger said.
"It was important to get our first win away from home."
Oumar Niasse also scored for Everton, who had Idrissa Gueye sent off in the second half for a second yellow card.
Monreal's goal just before half-time cancelled out Rooney's opener and Oezil headed the visitors in front after the break.
Gueye was then sent off for a late challenge, leading to Lacazette and Ramsey making it 4-1
Niasse pulled one back in stoppage time but Sanchez finished things off just before the final whistle.
