The San Antonio Spurs have regained control of their NBA Western Conference first-round playoff series against Dallas with a 109-103 victory over the Mavericks.
The victory on Wednesday gave the Spurs a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series - in which they had trailed 2-1.
The Spurs will try to seal the victory in game six on Friday in Dallas.
The game was one of two Western Conference contests on Wednesday.
In Houston, Dwight Howard scored 22 points and pulled down 18 rebounds as the Houston Rockets stayed alive in the NBA playoffs with a 108-98 victory over Portland.
Houston came into the contest trailing 3-1 in the tight series, in which three of the first four games went to overtime.
And in the East, the Toronto Raptors held off the charging Brooklyn Nets, hanging on for a 115-113 victory to move one win away from advancing in the playoffs.
The Raptors squandered a 26-point lead, but escaped with a victory that gave them a 3-2 edge in the best-of-seven first-round series.
For the Spurs, point guard Tony Parker led the way with 23 points, despite playing on a sprained left ankle that had his participation in doubt.
Parker was also a little short of sleep - he'd been up most of the night awaiting the birth of his first child, a son who was welcomed by Parker and his fiancee early on Wednesday morning.
Vince Carter, whose buzzer-beater won game three for the Mavericks, scored a game-high 28 points, connecting on seven of nine three-point attempts.
