Spurs work overtime in win over Wizards

Australian Patty Mills has starred for San Antonio in a dramatic NBA win over the Washington Wizards.

Australian guard Patty Mills stepped up to score 11 of his 23 points in the two overtimes on Thursday as the San Antonio Spurs extended their NBA domination of Washington with a 125-118 win.

San Antonio haven't lost to the Wizards since a 110-95 defeat on November 12, 2005.

The Spurs moved ahead of Miami's 15-game domination of Charlotte for the longest current team-vs-team streak in the league.

Tim Duncan top-scored for San Antonio with 31 points before fouling out in the second overtime period.

But Mills and Danny Green (22 points) picked up the slack for the Spurs, who registered their third straight win.

Marco Belinelli added 14 points off the bench in the victory.

Spurs point guard Tony Parker had just four points and five assists with four turnovers, playing less than 19 minutes before departing at halftime with tightness in his lower back.

John Wall scored 29 points to pace the Wizards, who had won two straight going into the contest.
