Sri Lanka batsmen go slow in Sharjah

Sri Lanka have reached 8-359 at tea on the second day of the third Test against Pakistan in Sharjah.

Sri Lanka were 8-359 at tea on the second day of the third and final Test against Pakistan in Sharjah on Friday.

At the break, debutant Dilruwan Perera (54) and Shaminda Eranga (two) were at the crease as Sri Lanka added 139 runs for the loss of three wickets after resuming the day at 5-220.

Skipper Angelo Mathews scored a brilliant 91 before he fell to paceman Junaid Khan who had figures of 3-65.

Mohammad Talha and Saeed Ajmal had two wickets apiece.

Sri Lanka lead the three-Test series 1-0 after winning the second Test in Dubai by nine wickets. The first Test ended as a draw in Abu Dhabi.
