Sri Lanka in control against Pakistan

Sri Lanka have gone to tea in their second innings at 3-88, leading Pakistan by 175 on day four of the third Test in Sharjah.

Sri Lanka were 3-88 at tea in their second innings on the fourth day of the third and final Test against Pakistan in Sharjah on Sunday.

Mahela Jayawardene (23) and Dinesh Chandimal (13) were at the crease as Sri Lanka now lead by 175 runs with one full session and a day to play for Pakistan to force a series-levelling win.

Left-arm spinner Abdul Rehman has taken two and paceman Mohammad Talha has one wicket.

Earlier, Pakistan were dismissed for 341 in their first innings, conceding a lead of 87 over Sri Lanka's total of 9-428 declared.

Skipper Misbah-ul Haq made 63. Left-arm spinner Rangana Herath finished with 5-125 while paceman Shaminda Eranga took a career best 4-60.

Sri Lanka lead the three-match series 1-0 on account of a nine wicket win in the second Tests in Dubai. The first Test ended as a draw in Abu Dhabi.
