Stabbed woman expecting first daughter

A heavily pregnant mother-of-four was counting down the days until she had her first baby girl when she was stabbed to death in western Sydney.

The woman, who was seven-months pregnant, was found by her 15-year-old son at Mount Druitt.

She had suffered multiple chest wounds, and her baby did not survive.

A man, understood to be the woman's partner, handed himself in to police a short time later.

He's being treated in hospital for injuries, which doctors say are consistant with having been in a fight.

He's being questioned by detectives.
