Stabbed woman's partner in custody

A man will appear in court charged with murder after his heavily pregnant partner was found stabbed to death in western Sydney.

A Sydney man has been charged with murder following the stabbing death of his heavily pregnant partner.

The 38-year-old man turned himself in to police hours after the woman's teenage son discovered her body at their Mount Druitt home.

He has been refused bail and is due to appear at Mount Druitt Local Court on Wednesday.

Police believe the killing was an incident of domestic violence.

The 37-year-old mother-of-four has been named in media reports as Kirralee Paepaerei.

Just a month before she was killed she posted a message on Facebook about her joy on learning her fifth child was to be a girl.
