The man accused of helping his twin brother after the alleged murder of NSW teacher and bride-to-be Stephanie Scott will remain in custody.

Marcus Stanford, 24, has been charged with being an accessory after the fact, with police alleging his twin, Vincent, sent him items belonging to Ms Scott after her death.

He did not apply for bail and it was formerly refused when his matter was mentioned at Wagga Wagga Local Court in southern NSW on Wednesday.

It comes after Marcus was extradited to NSW earlier this month following his arrest in his home state of South Australia.

Between April 8 and April 31, police say Marcus helped Vincent after he allegedly sexually assaulted and killed Ms Scott on April 5 in the NSW Riverina town of Leeton.

The 26-year-old English and drama teacher died six days before she was meant to marry fiance Aaron Leeson-Woolley in a country wedding near her home town.

Vincent, a school cleaner, was arrested on April 8, after police found a camera with pictures of a burned body and blood allegedly in his ute at his Leeton home.

Two days after his arrest, Ms Scott's burned body was found in scrub at Cocoparra National Park, more than 70km from Leeton.

Marcus will return to Griffith Local Court next month.
