The social media platform suffered a major outage this evening, blocking users around the world from both its website and other apps.

The outage, lasting less than 30 mins, was the longest experienced yet and sent users to other platforms to vent their frustration.

On Twitter, “Facebook” was sent trending across Australia as social media addicts posted under the hashtag #facebookdown.
The outage even spawned its own Twitter account, @FacebookCrash.
