Sussex have tied down veteran Australian seamer Steve Magoffin to a one-year contract extension.
The 36-year-old has been a prolific wicket-taker at the south coast county, with 263 scalps in 63 matches across four seasons, and he will remain at Hove until the end of the 2017 season.
In a further boost, the former Queensland and West Australian player will be registered as a local player this year after having his recent application for British citizenship accepted.
Magoffin, who could not prevent Sussex's relegation last season despite being the joint second-highest wicket-taker in Division One of the County Championship, said: "It's great for me to commit again to Sussex.
"I've had four really enjoyable years here; I've loved every minute of it. Hopefully this coming season we can put a good performance together as a group and move back up a division, as well as doing well in white-ball cricket.
"I've got the British citizenship through now which is great. It is good news for Sussex as it allows (New Zealand batsman) Ross Taylor to come over here as an overseas, and I can continue as a local player."
