Steven wins Saints' top AFL award again

Jack Steven was one of only three St Kilda players to play every game this season and that helped win his second club best and fairest award.

Star midfielder Jack Steven has won St Kilda's best and fairest award for the second time in three seasons.

Steven polled 175 votes to win the Trevor Barker Award from David Armitage (159) and Sean Dempster (149).

The 25-year-old was among only three Saints to play every senior game this season.

Steven played his 100th AFL match this year and also signed a long-time deal that ties him to the Saints until 2020.

Armitage led the voting until round 21, when he missed a game because of a shoulder injury.
