Stockland boss collects $2.3m

Mark Steinert took home $2.3 million during his first full year at the helm of property giant Stockland.

Stockland chief executive Mark Steinert took home $2.3 million in his first full year in the property developer's top job.

He was paid $1.5 million in cash and collected $750,000 in short-term bonuses in the 2013/14 financial year.

The amount was more than double the $898,000 he received for his first six months in the job after starting work at Stockland in January 2013.

His total remuneration package for 2013/14 was $3.4 million, including more than $558,000 in long-term incentives.

Stockland lifted its full year profit fivefold in 2013/14 to $527 million and has flagged higher earnings this financial year.
