Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange on Thursday, Feb 13:

AGK - AGL ENERGY - up 49 cents, or 3.3 per cent, at $15.66

The NSW government has agreed to sell Macquarie Generation's two power plants to AGL Energy, conditional on Australia's competition watchdog not opposing the outcome.

APN - APN NEWS & MEDIA - up 0.5 cents, or 1.2 per cent, at 43.5 cents

APN News & Media has agreed to sell its unprofitable brandsExclusive online shopping site, having slashed the value of goodwill on a business acquired in 2012.

BLD - BORAL - up 45 cents, or nine per cent, at $5.45

Building materials company Boral has lifted its underlying half year profit to $90 million on the back of better housing and road construction markets, cost cutting and dry weather conditions.

CBA - COMMONWEALTH BANK OF AUSTRALIA - up 28 cents, or 0.4 per cent, at $76.20

Commonwealth Bank has increased its half yearly profit by 14 per cent to $4.27 billion, but its chief is still warning of volatile global and domestic markets.

CPU - COMPUTERSHARE - up 71 cents, or 6.4 per cent, at $11.80

Shareholder services company Computershare has lifted its half year profit by 47 per cent as it reduced costs by finding more operational efficiencies.

CRZ - CARSALES.COM - up 62 cents, or 6.6 per cent, at $10.00

New products and expansion into Asia and Brazil Online have contributed to a 17 per cent rise in half year profit for classifieds business Carsales.com.

CSL - CSL - down $2.11, or three per cent, at $67.75

Blood products and vaccines maker CSL has lifted its first half profit 3.4 per cent after solid sales growth offset costs relating to a US lawsuit.

DMP - DOMINO'S PIZZA - up $2.12, or 12.4 per cent, at $19.25

Pizza company Domino's has delivered a 28 per cent rise in half year profit, due largely to a successful entry into the Japanese fast food market.

DXS - DEXUS PROPERTY GROUP - up two cents, or 1.95 per cent, at $1.045

Dexus Property Group has managed to lift its half year profit while moving to acquire Commonwealth Property Office Fund.

FGE - FORGE GROUP - last traded at 91.5 cents

Forge Group directors are looking at restructuring the mining services company after financiers withdrew their support.

GFF - GOODMAN FIELDER - down five cents, or 7.35 per cent, at 63 cents

The maker of Helga's and Wonder White will charge more for its bread after high wheat prices helped push the company to a $65 million half year loss.

NBL - NONI B - up 5.5 cents, or 9.1 per cent, at 66 cents

Fashion retailer Noni B plans to close seven stores in the next few months after poor sales resulted in a three per cent slide in its first half profit.

OZL - OZ MINERALS - up 43 cents, or 12.7 per cent, at $3.83

Oz Minerals chief executive Terry Burgess hopes to offload a controlling stake in the company's key growth asset before departing later this year.

PRY - PRIMARY HEALTH CARE - down 12 cents, or 2.4 per cent, at $4.81

Pathology and medical centres operator Primary Health Care has boosted its half-year dividend by 38 per cent after lifting profits 8.6 per cent to $75.5 million.

SGH - SLATER & GORDON - up 29 cents, or 6.9 per cent, at $4.50

Law firm Slater & Gordon has increased its half yearly profit by 21 per cent as it expands into the United Kingdom.

SGP - STOCKLAND - up 18 cents, or 4.8 per cent, at $3.90

Property group Stockland has swung back into the black with a $298 million first half profit.
