Stolen car smashes into Perth stadium

A woman is on the run after allegedly crashing a stolen car into Patersons Stadium in Perth, while her male passenger has been caught and charged.

A stolen car has ploughed into the entrance of Patersons Stadium in Perth.

Police activated their lights and siren when they spotted the car at the intersection of Coghlan and Roberts Roads in Subiaco about 1.20am on Sunday, but it sped off.

A short time later, the car crashed through the entrance of Patersons Stadium at Haydn Bunton Drive, with the female driver and her male passenger fleeing the scene, police said.

SES volunteers were called to secure the unstable structure.

A 37-year-old man was caught a short distance away and charged with an outstanding warrant, stealing a motor vehicle and unlawful possession.

Police are still looking for the woman.
