Storm confirm Addo-Carr NRL signing

Melbourne have moved quickly to fill the spot of rugby-bound winger Marika Koroibete, signing Wests Tigers youngster Josh Addo-Carr.

Melbourne have confirmed the signing of Wests Tigers winger Josh Addo-Carr on a three-year deal.

Addo-Carr will join the Storm at the end of the NRL season as Melbourne aim to fill the spot of rugby-bound winger Marika Koroibete.

The 20-year-old Addo-Carr has scored three tries in four games after making his first grade debut for the Tigers this season.

A Souths junior, Addo-Carr, played for Cronulla's under-20s last year before his move to the Tigers.

Storm football director Frank Ponissi says Addo-Carr's signing adds to the club's stock of young backs, including impressive fullback Cameron Munster.

"He is an exciting young talent and we look forward to what he will bring to our team over the next three years," Ponissi said.

Tigers chief executive Justin Pascoe said the club had done all it could to retain the talented youngster but was unable to match the terms offered by the Storm.

"Wests Tigers made a very competitive offer to retain Joshua for the next few years and while we're disappointed we wish him well," Pascoe said.
