Melbourne coach Craig Bellamy is hopeful Gold Coast youngster Max King will make a mid-season switch to his NRL club.
King, 22, has done well to come back from a shoulder reconstruction to play in nine games for the Titans in 2019.
The versatile forward, who can play at lock or in the front row, is firmly in Bellamy's radar.
"There's a few things that have got to happen but we'd like to have Max at our club," Bellamy said.
"At the end of the day it's got to be the right decision for him and he's got to get permission of the Titans as well.
"Hopefully something might be sorted there soon."
The Maitland junior last featured for the Titans in their round 10 loss to Canterbury and his future at the club remains uncertain.
In other news at the Storm, the future of young fullback Scott Drinkwater also remains unclear.
North Queensland are keen to land the 22-year-old but Bellamy is insisting he won't be leaving the Storm for nothing.
"We can understand that he wants to play first grade, because we do see that he's an NRL player without a doubt," Bellamy said.
"We want to see him playing first grade and if it's at another club, so be it ... there's got to be something in it for our club, we just can't let a player like him go without getting something in return."
