Melbourne speed machines Josh Addo-Carr and Suliasi Vunivalu lit up the NRL last year and numbers show they're the most-dynamic club pairing in more than 60 years.
The Storm wingers scored 23 tries apiece, playing a leading hand in Craig Bellamy's side's charge to the 2017 premiership.
According to Fox Sports Stats, the 46 tries the dynamic duo accumulated last year is the sixth most that two teammates have scored in a season.
It's also the most since 1954 when Newtown's Ray Preston and Kevin Considine scored 55 and South Sydney's Ian Moir and Les Brennan racked up 50.
Addo-Carr came to the Storm as an unknown, having played just a handful of games for the Wests Tigers but, 12 months on, is a premiership winger and firmly in Brad Fittler's calculations for this year's NSW State of Origin squad.
"Who would believe? Josh Addo-Carr winning a premiership," Addo-Carr told AAP.
Asked if he ever believed he could achieve what he had in the past 12 months, Addo-Carr said: "Not at all mate.
"Craig and the coaching staff have got me to where I wanted to be. I'm just so grateful to be at the Storm - they've showed me the way."
Vunivalu finished the regular season as the competition's leading try scorer and was among the most-improved players in the game.
While Semi Radradra has been lost to rugby league, after his move to French rugby union, Vunivalu has assumed his mantle as the game's most-exciting Fijian.
A certified star after a breakout 2017, Addo-Carr said we had only seen the tip of the iceberg when it came to his fellow winger's potential.
"He is a deadset freak," Addo-Carr said.
"He's probably one of the best players I've ever played with and he brings something special out every week.
"You don't know what he's going to pull out of the hat and I love playing alongside him.
"We probably haven't scratched the surface. He's one of those players that anything can happen with him."
