Storm say Tiger Farah will be ready

Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy believes Wests Tigers skipper Robbie Farah will be able to put club dramas aside and be ready for their NRL clash.

Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy believes Wests Tigers skipper Robbie Farah has been in the game long enough to put his club troubles aside and focus on their NRL clash on Monday night.

Farah returned to training on Friday after skipping a session after feeling he was blamed for the precarious position of coach Mick Potter.

The Tigers host the Storm at Campbelltown and Bellamy said Farah would be ready.

"He has been a tremendous player for the Tigers, he has been there for 10 years and he's professional so he will be ready to play on Monday without a doubt," Bellamy said on Friday.

The veteran coach said he felt for Potter, whose contract negotiations have been pushed back to the end of the season by the Tigers board.

But Bellamy said it wouldn't affect the Storm's preparation for another must-win match.

"I can't control how they're preparing or how they're going to play; we just have to worry about ourselves," he said.

"I feel for any coach who has gone though what he has gone through.

"He's been dragged into something that wasn't too much of his doing by the look of it."

The Storm have won their past two matches in impressive fashion, pushing them into the spotlight as genuine premiership contenders.

They are sixth heading into the round, eyeing a valuable top four berth.

The sparkling form of Test halfback Cooper Cronk has been integral to their improvement with Bellamy saying he his return from a broken arm had been the difference.

But the coach wasn't buying the tag of favourites.

"We've played reasonably well and consistently for three weeks but I don't think we're quite in premiership-winning form just yet," he said.

"We've got a long, long way to go and we're not kidding ourselves we haven't got a lot of work to do."

The Storm will head to Terrigal on the NSW central coast following the Tigers match and spend the week training there before their Saturday clash with Newcastle.
