Melbourne trio Suliasi Vunivalu, Curtis Scott and Dale Finucane have been named to return from injury in time for Sunday's NRL blockbuster against competition leaders St George Illawarra.

Vunivalu (hamstring) and Finucane (thumb) missed last week's win over the Warriors, while Scott (ankle) was expected to miss up to a month, however all three were included on Tuesday.

Scott is considered an outside chance to recover, and is likely to be replaced by Young Tonumaipea.

"It is an unusual one, it is not as bad as first anticipated. He probably will not play this weekend, more than likely he won't play against St George," Storm football director Frank Ponissi told the club website.

"If it settles down okay (on Tuesday) he may be named for the weekend and be given every opportunity to play but more than likely we are trying to get him up for the Titans game on Sunday week."

In other team news, Manly have moved Dylan Walker to five-eighth for the injured Lachlan Croker, with controversial playmaker Jackson Hastings and rookie Tom Wright on an extended bench.

Moses Suli will make his club debut in the centres against an unchanged Newcastle.

The Warriors will be expected to bounce back from their humiliation against Melbourne with Shaun Johnson, Tohu Harris and Solomone Kata all listed to come back from injury.

They take on a Wests Tigers outfit that get Elijah Taylor back from a concussion, and omitted hooker Jacob Liddle from theiir 21-man squad in favour of a four-forward bench.

Brisbane hooker Andrew McCullough returns early from an elbow injury to take on Canterbury, who have dropped Greg Eastwood and given Clay Priest his first outing for the club.

Rookie Bulldogs forward Rhyse Martin, who is tipped to debut, has been named on an extended bench.

Cronulla star Valentine Holmes returns to fullback following Josh Dugan's injury, with Wade Graham and Sosaia Feki also back against a Parramatta side that have recalled Tepai Moeroa.

South Sydney winger Campbell Graham will make his first appearance of the season in place of the injured Richie Kennar, as will Gold Coast forward Ryan Simpkins for Morgan Boyle.

Lastly, Penrith recruit Tyrone Phillips has been rushed back from a pectoral injury following a shoulder injury to Dylan Edwards, with Dallin Watene-Zelezniak moving to fullback.
