Melbourne don't know if Brisbane will come out firing or flat after the surprise announcement their NRL coach Anthony Griffin will be replaced next season by former mentor Wayne Bennett.
The Storm take on the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night with both teams looking to secure an NRL finals berth.
Storm coach Craig Bellamy admitted he was taken aback by the timing of the announcement, with the Broncos running sixth and Bennett at the helm of Newcastle.
"That is probably the most surprising part of it, the timing of the announcement," Bellamy said.
"The people who run the show up at the Broncos thought it was what they needed to do and they've done it.
"You have got to feel for Anthony Griffin, he has done a pretty good job this year."
The Storm dominated the Raiders last round and have an excellent record against the Broncos, winning their past seven clashes.
Bellamy said his players needed to have their minds on the job as he didn't know what the mind-set of the Broncos would be.
"It could fire them right up, or they could be flat," Bellamy said.
"I can't control that, I can only control how we prepare this week and make sure I do my job the best I can.
"I'll make sure my players are along that line as well."
The match marks 100-game milestones for centre Will Chambers and prop Jesse Bromwich.
Chambers' haul comes after a stint with the Queensland Reds Super Rugby side, playing rugby in Ireland and also overcoming a life-threatening blood disorder that sidelined him in 2012.
He broke into the Queensland Origin team this season.
Bellamy couldn't speak highly enough of the duo, who joined Melbourne as juniors.
"They're pretty special players, they're really important parts of our team but they're pretty special to me personally off the field," he said.
"I really admire the way they go about playing their footy they really want to be the best they can be and they work really hard at it.
"They've got a great love for the club and a great care for their teammates. They're the sort of guys every coach wants to coach and every club wants to have."
