Samantha Stosur says she'll go solo in her attack on Wimbledon this year, after her association with coach David Taylor ended in semi-final heartbreak at the French Open.
Across two stints, the pair have worked together for a highly successful eight years which included Stosur's 2011 US Open triumph and the 2010 French Open final - but in January they decided on an amicable split due to geographical reasons.
Stosur lives and trains in the US, while Taylor is based primarily in Europe and wants to spend more time with his young family.
Taylor, who has worked with former world No.1s Ana Ivanovic and Martina Hingis, was also the mentor who helped Alicia Molik to the top 10 before he linked with Stosur.
Stosur reached the French Open semi-finals in 2009 and the final the following year before securing her maiden grand slam title in New York and soaring to a career-best ranking of No.4 in the world.
And in the year since they reunited, Stosur's game has returned to its highest level in years - rising into the top 15 for the first time since 2013 on the back of her final-four appearance in Paris.
The sizzling return to her best form prompted speculation they could rethink the decision to part, but Stosur said they hadn't had any discussions around that subject.
But the 32-year-old has also yet to confirm who Taylor's successor will be.
"No, I don't have anyone else lined up. So at the moment I'm going to the grass solo," Stosur said.
"That's where that is at the moment; we haven't spoken about continuing or anything like that.
"This was the decision made after the Australian Open, so, yeah, I don't know.
"Unless he's got a surprise for me, that's still I think what's going on."
