Stosur wins in Strasbourg round one

Samantha Stosur has won her opening round match at the Strasbourg Open.

Samantha Stosur has started her title defence at the Strasbourg Open in solid fashion with a straight sets win over Lauren Davis.

Stosur downed the American 6-3 7-5.

As the 2015 winner the Australian will be looking to go deep into the draw as she risks slipping down the rankings before the French Open given the points she has to defend.
