Strong Hurricanes to line up against Reds

A calf injury has ruled out fullback Nehe Milner-Skudder from a near full-strength Hurricanes team to play the Reds in Brisbane.

Coach Chris Boyd won't be resting any All Blacks ahead of the Hurricanes' Super Rugby clash against the Reds in Brisbane on Sunday.

Boyd has kept the line-up almost identical to that beaten 29-24 by the Waratahs last week, the Hurricanes' first loss of the season.

However, a calf injury to fullback Nehe Milner-Skudder has left him out of selection contention, making way for James Marshall to slot in at fullback.

Matt Proctor also comes back into the starting line-up, with Cory Jane moving to the bench.

Victor Vito (calf), Dane Coles (elbow) and Blade Thomson (concussion) remain on the injury list.

Hurricanes first five-eighth Beauden Barrett needs two points to surpass David Holwell's record of 676, and become the Hurricanes' leading point scorer of all time.

Hurricanes: James Marshall, Matt Proctor, Conrad Smith, Ma'a Nonu, Julian Savea, Beauden Barrett, TJ Perenara, Brad Shields, Ardie Savea, Callum Gibbins, James Broadhurst, Jeremy Thrush, Ben Franks, Motu Matu'u, Reggie Goodes. Reserves: Brayden Mitchell, Jeffery Toomaga-Allen, Chris Eves, Mark Abbott, Adam Hill, Chris Smylie, Rey Lee-Lo, Cory Jane.
