Strong winds to batter parts of Victoria

Victoria can expect strong winds across the Central and South West districts with a severe weather warning issued.

A severe weather warning has been issued for parts of Victoria with strong winds expected to hammer the state.

Peak gusts up to 90 km/h are forecast for parts of the South West and Central forecast districts from Thursday night, the Bureau of Meteorology says.

The strong winds are expected to persist for most of Friday.
