Matthew Dellavedova says there's no reason for his Cleveland Cavaliers to hit the panic button despite a run of losses and reports of strife between team leader LeBron James and head coach David Blatt.
The Cavaliers took a positive step forward on Thursday when they snapped a six-game losing streak by defeating the woeful Los Angeles Lakers 109-102.
Before the win Cleveland had lost nine of their previous 10 games. The victory in Los Angeles moves the Cavaliers back to a 20 win, 20 loss record - the sixth best in the NBA's weak eastern conference.
"It's been a bit of a jumble with people coming in and out of the line up, trades and that sort of thing," Dellavedova, who scored six points from 12 minutes on the floor, told AAP.
"I think we're just looking forward to getting into a bit of a rhythm and that will definitely help us win more games going into the second half of the season."
The team has been hit by injuries, including James sitting out eight games to rest an ailing left knee and back.
The Cavaliers also shook up the team earlier this month with guard Dion Waiters shipped to the Oklahoma City Thunder and adding New York Knicks shooting guards JR Smith and Iman Shumpert and Russian centre Timofey Mozgov from the Denver Nuggets.
James was dominant in Los Angeles, scoring 36 points, while Lakers veteran Kobe Bryant had 19 points and 17 assists.
There have been daily reports that Blatt could be fired and of disunity in the Cavaliers locker room.
Dellavedova said the team shields itself from the speculation.
"I'm pretty sure nobody in the locker room listens too much to what's going on outside," Dellavedova said.
