Vedad Ibisevic of Stuttgart has been given a five-game suspension following a red card on Sunday, the German Football Association (DFB) says.

Ibisevic was red carded for striking Jan Callsen-Bracker in an off the ball incident in the match with Augsburg, which Stuttgart lost 4-1.

The suspension has been accepted by the club and will not be appealed.

Stuttgart are just two points above the relegation play-off place and will now be without the Bosnian striker for Bundesliga games against Hoffenheim, Hertha Berlin, Eintracht Frankfurt, Eintracht Braunschweig and Werder Bremen.
