Suns not delivering on Eade's AFL plans

Gold Coast midfielder Touk Miller says his AFL teammates feel some guilt over the spotlight on the future of coach Rodney Eade.

Gold Coast midfielder Touk Miller admits his side's performances don't do coach Rodney Eade's game plans any justice.

Speaking ahead of the Suns' clash with Richmond at Metricon Stadium on Saturday night, Miller said the players often felt like they had let their coach down.

Eade's future on the Gold Coast is under a cloud after another underwhelming season by the Queenslanders.

Three straight losses have dulled any hope of a maiden finals appearance, the Suns now 15th and three wins outside the top eight.

Miller said the playing group felt some guilt over the spotlight currently on their coach.

"I feel like the playing group occasionally bamboozles Rocket on the field," Miller said.

"You do feel bad for him because he puts things in place that we can't follow. As a team we have to get better at following instructions."

Bringing more aggression to the Tigers clash is also an aim. Miller says they will take their lead from star forward Tom Lynch.

Lynch was in the thick of it in Cairns last weekend, accepting a $1500 fine for wrestling.

It is Lynch's second wrestling offence with one more will meaning he will miss a game.

"You could say he does have to be careful, but we love his passion," Miller said of his captain.

"I think we get labelled as a nice club a bit too often and we're really trying to shake that off ... we have to make sure we get a bit more white line fever about ourselves."
