Suns regain four for Blues AFL clash

Gold Coast have endured a wretched run with injuries this season but there's some light at the end of the tunnel with four players back to face Carlton.

Gold Coast's injury woes continue to ease, despite Gary Ablett's ongoing absence, with the Suns recalling four players for Sunday's clash against Carlton.

Steven May, Harley Bennell, Alex Sexton and Sam Day were included in the final line-up named on Friday, as Gold Coast look to score their second win of the season.

Danny Stanley (knee) is the only forced change, with Clay Cameron, Jack Leslie and Peter Wright all dropped.

The Blues made two forced changes for the clash at Etihad Stadium, with David Ellard and Nick Holman replacing Bryce Gibbs (suspension) and Andrew Walker (knee).

Full-back Michael Jamison was named in the extended squad on Thursday but he drops back to the emergency list and will play another match in the VFL in his comeback from a calf injury.

Gold Coast skipper Ablett had been expected to make his much-anticipated return from the shoulder injury that has kept him out since round two but he will be out for at least one more week.
