Super League is more attractive than the NRL and the new World Club Series will provide an opportunity to prove it, according to Warrington's Australian coach Tony Smith.
The annual World Club Challenge is being expanded this year from a one-off clash into a series featuring the top three Super League teams against some of the cream of the NRL.
Warrington will take on St George Illawarra while Wigan meet Brisbane Broncos in the build-up to the World Club Challenge between St Helens and South Sydney.
The British clubs will have home advantage in the series, played over the weekend of February 20-22.
"It's very exciting," said Smith.
"It's a great opportunity for us, as a club, to prove ourselves as one of the better teams in the world.
"After having trained over there and with some of their clubs, we felt that we weren't much different - we certainly didn't feel inferior to many teams in Australia. You don't often get a chance to prove that and we do now.
"The other big reason for the excitement is that we're representing Super League. I don't think we get enough credit for the quality of play that we do have in this country and this is a chance to prove something to the Australian community and public.
"Until you come over here and experience it, you don't realise how tough and exciting a competition it is. There's a contrasting style and I'd like to argue that at times some of ours is more exciting and attractive to watch."
