Surfing's Rip Curl Pro off for the day

A lack of good waves at Bells Beach has forced organisers to call another lay day at the Rip Curl Pro.

Continuing poor conditions have forced organisers to call another lay day at the Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach.

The only action to date came on Thursday, when nine of the men's opening-round heats were completed.

Organisers are confident the swell will improve in coming days, allowing them to complete the second event of the World Surf League tour inside the wait period which runs until Saturday.

The next call will be made on Monday at 0640 AEST.
