A church in the regional NSW city of Bathurst has been destroyed by a suspicious fire.
Residents reported seeing smoke pouring from the Anglican Church near the town centre in the early hours of Sunday morning. When emergency services arrived, the building was "engulfed in flames," police said.
No one was inside the church and there are no reports of injuries.
The fire was extinguished after several hours.
Police say the they're treating the incident as suspicious and have seized a car seen near the church about the time of the fire.
