Swan ejected for calling Hockey 'liar'

Wayne Swan has been booted from parliament for refusing to apologise to Treasurer Joe Hockey for calling him a 'liar'.

Former treasurer Wayne Swan has copped a one-hour suspension from federal parliament for calling Joe Hockey a "liar".

Mr Hockey told parliament on Thursday, just two days after delivering his second budget, that as Labor government treasurer Mr Swan "got every single number wrong".

When asked by Speaker Bronwyn Bishop to withdraw four accusations against Mr Hockey, Mr Swan said: "I'm not going to withdraw, Madam Speaker, because the treasurer is a liar!"
