Sydney will do their utmost to keep the ball out of former teammate Lewis Jetta's reach when he rolls into town with West Coast for the AFL clash at the SCG on Saturday.
Having made the switch after six seasons with the Swans, 2012 premiership player Jetta will return to his old stomping ground in Eagles colours for the first time.
"We're looking forward to getting him back out on the SCG," Swans midfielder Josh Kennedy said.
"Hopefully I won't be chasing him too much - we'll get some of the younger, quicker boys to be doing that.
"We'll try and stop his influence because he's a tremendously damaging player, and if he gets the ball in his hands too much he's certainly going to hurt."
The Swans suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday, going down by 10 points to Adelaide.
It leaves John Longmire's former ladder-leading side in third, and means West Coast have a chance to replace them in the top four if they can snag a win in front of a hostile Sydney crowd.
In-form midfielder Luke Parker was most wary of the Eagles' gun forward pack and ruckman Nic Naitanui.
"The heat is going to be on in the middle, especially with Nic in there," Parker said.
"He's in tremendous form at the moment, so it's going to be a big focus for us this week trying to nullify that and get the game on our terms, especially from the centre bounce.
"We will look at in great depth and hopefully can get on top in that area."
