Swimmer missing in northern NSW

Emergency services are searching for a man who dissapeared while swimming with friends in a disused quarry in northern NSW.

A man has gone missing while swimming in a northern NSW quarry.

The man's friends lost sight of him while they were swimming in an unused quarry in Byron Bay early on Sunday afternoon, police said.

Emergency services will continue searching the area throughout Sunday.
