Sydney driver allegedly drunk and texting during collision with pedestrians

Charges have been laid against a Sydney driver who hit four pedestrians.

A woman has been charged with drink driving and driving while using a mobile phone after hitting four pedestrians in northwest Sydney.

A 55-year-old woman and four-year-old girl are fighting for their lives after being struck on Hezlett Road in Kellyville about 9.30pm on Sunday, while a 44-year-old woman and 45-year-old man are in a serious condition.
All four are believed to be from the same family.

The 50-year-old driver was charged on Monday morning with seven offences including driving while using a mobile phone, mid-range drink-driving and dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.

She's been granted conditional police bail ahead of an appearance at Parramatta Local Court on October 10.
