Sydney festival cancels 'honour killings' lecture

A Sydney festival has conceded it may have gone a step too far lining up a lecture titled "Honour Killings Are Morally Justified".

 

Within hours of unveiling its program, organisers of the Festival of Dangerous Ideas cancelled the lecture.

But a women's health service says the discussion it's sparked about honour killings may have put Australian lives in danger.
