The public will have a chance to step aboard an array of ships docked in Sydney Harbour as the International Fleet Review enters another day of celebrations.

But those without tickets to tour the historic tall ships and warships will miss out as all tickets have sold out.

Other events on Sunday include concerts by the Royal Australian Navy and visiting military band in Manly, and an ecumenical and interfaith service at 2pm at St Mary's Cathedral.

The VIP guest to the event marking 100 years since the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) fleet entered Sydney Harbour, Prince Harry, is travelling to Perth after a whirlwind but well-received visit.

Prince Harry conducted the fleet review on board HMAS Leeuwin alongside Governor-General Quentin Bryce on Saturday before greeting enthusiastic fans at The Rocks.

He then attended a function at Kirribilli House with the Prime Minister.

Huge crowds flocked to Sydney Harbour's foreshore on Saturday night to watch a fleet review fireworks spectacular light up the sky.

The 30-minute show used more than seven tonnes of fireworks and featured plane-shaped fireworks specially designed for the event.

Accompanying the glittering display were huge projections on the Opera House, which told the story of the RAN's 100 year history.

Transport Management Centre executive general manager Phil Akers says delays are expected in the CBD when tens of thousands of people turn out to tour the ships.

"Parking will be extremely difficult due to the road closures and special event clearways that will be in place in the CBD, Woolloomooloo, Potts Point and Ultimo," Mr Akers said.

"The best way to travel to the ships is by train or bus, and there will be plenty of extra services running."
