Morrissey fans who want to see one of the artist's four live shows at Sydney’s Opera House during Vivid 2015 will need to, at least temporarily, get used to the taste of vegetables.
The Sydney Opera House has agreed not to serve meat to people backstage and in two concert hall-associated venues for the committed vegetarian's performances.
Morrissey, the former front man of English rock band The Smiths, is a staunch vegetarian who insists on his audience members not eating meat.
Vivid Sydney opened on Friday night and is expected to beat last year's crowds which saw 1.4 million people visiting its lighting extravaganza.
Authorities have urged visitors to stay safe while embracing the largest festival of its kind in the world.
The festival, which runs over 18 nights, is expected to boost the local economy by $43 million.
